Hunting Game started as a Unity project I made with AI. I don't want to keep developing it in Unity, so this is the JavaScript version: a camp clock, a pack to sell, and a round you can watch fall through the field. Pick an hour, walk to the stand, and bring something back. Still in progress.

How shooting works

Your crosshair marks where the round would land without wind. Aim at a deer's hooves and the round arrives too low. Aim beyond the deer, along the line from your stand, and the round is still above the ground when it reaches the animal. Aim too far beyond it and you shoot over its back.

With the guide on, the gold ring marks the vitals near the front shoulder. The dotted line is the visible bullet's predicted path with the current wind. Bring that line through the ring, then wait for the deer to stop walking or lead its movement. The little square marks the predicted landing point. The guide won't move your aim or correct the shot.

Transparent pixels between the legs or around the antlers let a round pass through. A hit outside the vitals wounds the deer and it runs. A vital hit brings it down after a short run and puts the animal in your pack. A wounded animal leaves a blood trail. If it escapes, you can search right away or keep hunting. Waiting makes the trail harder to follow and lowers the sale value. Bracken, the tracking dog, helps with both the search and the walk back.

You have five rounds. R reloads; clicking with an empty magazine starts a reload too. Q toggles the scope, or hold the right mouse button. WASD or the arrow keys walk; E climbs or leaves a nearby stand. Hold F or Wait to pass time faster. P pauses. On a phone, hold and drag your aim, then use Fire. Camp has a clock you can speed up, and a Wait until control for a specific departure time.
